“Nailed Down!” features interviews with nail technicians and artists from around the globe. Some are beginners, some are seasoned veterans, but all of them have their own unique style. Whether it’s hand-painting, acrylics, stilettos or you-name-it, nails are their canvas for true works of art! 

 

 

 

 

 

Here we’re going to showcase our “Nailed Down” artists’ wide variety of Fourth of July themed nails from all across the country! (and even one from Italy) Enjoy!

I got my first set of nails when I turned 15, and after that I was hooked! Ever since then I’ve had my nails done. I’m so fascinated by the process and the creativeness of the nail techs, that I watch my nail girl do my nails and I won’t look away.

I was experimenting with a bridal design on my mom who is 68. So she decided to play a joke on her girlfriends and told everyone she had found Mr. Right and the week after she was getting married!

My most favorite technique has got to be acrylic encapsulations. (inlaid designs) I also love to paint nail tips in different designs before applying them to the nails.
