Nail Art Tutorial: Earth Mother Design

Earth Mother Caption Nails

All of spring and summer is music festival season. Even if your clients aren’t planning on attending a show, the boho chic trend has surely still penetrated your town’s local nail scene. Using Caption Nail Polish and stamping plates (Young Nails will release their own line of stamping tools this summer) to create this earthy, artsy manicure.

Step 1: Cleanse the nails of any dust or oil.
Step 2: Use Caption Base Coat as the foundation to your manicure. Polish a single thin coat on the nails of both hands.
Step 3: Use Caption Core Color in If Only I Had Wings. Polish a single thin coat of this color on the nails of both hands, skip the ring finger. Allow to dry. Polish a second single thin coat of each of this color on the nails of both hands (skip the ring finger). Allow to dry.
Step 4: Use Caption Core Color in Calm Cool & Collected. Polish a single thin coat on the ring finger nail of both hands. Allow to dry. Polish a second single thin coat on the ring finger nail of both hands. Allow to dry.
Step 5: Use Caption Core Color in Calm Cool & Collected and If Only I Had Wings. Take a small art brush to paint fine geometric shapes or apply your favorite geometric pattern with a nail art decal vinyl or stamp. Allow to dry.
Step 6: Use Caption Top Coat. Polish a single thin coat on all nails. Allow to dry for two minutes.
Step 7: To accelerate drying time, use Caption Drying Drops. Apply 1-2 drops per nail after allowing the Top Coat to dry as instructed above.
