Questex once again brought the International Beauty Show to Las Vegas for plenty of fun and excitement in hair! Here's three things you missed if you weren't able to attend this year's show.

Questex brought the International Beauty Show to Las Vegas at the Las Vegas Convention Center for plenty of fun and excitement in hair.

This year's show, held June 22-24, made its debut in the new West Hall and once again co-located with International Esthetics, Cosmetics, & Spa Conference.

Beauty Launchpad was in attendance and got to experience all the action up close! Here, we recap what you missed if you weren't able to attend this year's show.

New Location

The new West Hall location proved for plenty excitement!

To arrive at the new location, attendees had to travel through colorfully lit undergrown tunnels in Teslas from the Las Vegas Convention Center's monorail stop.

Then, they could walk inside the gorgeous and extra spacious hall. The main level was home to the show floor and registration, while the second and third floor held the classrooms for both IBS and IECSC.

If you wanted to get your steps in, this year's location provided the perfect opportunity to do so!

Show Floor

The hair industry showed up for this year's International Beauty Show with brands like amika, Hattori Hanzo Shears, Cloak and Dagger, HaloCouture Extension and more showcasing their new and fan-favorite products.

Salonory showcased its brands from Joico to Kenra Professional, #mydentity by @Guy_Tang, Sexy Hair, Schwarzkopf Professional and Pravana at IBS this year. They also recently added DevaCurl to their lineup salon brands!

In the world of tools, Solano brought its dryers to the International Beauty Show. We got to try out the classic SuperSolano 3600 Forza. This bright red dryer will catch eyes in the salon and packs a punch with ultra-fast drying and superior conditioning, smoothness and volume!

Amplify the Stylist brought its shears, texturizers and revolutionary Barracuda Comb Clip to the show floor. Founder Rob Burgio demoed the clip for us live on the show floor, and you can see it in action, below!

Zenagen was on the show floor with their plant-powered hair products. We were excited to see its ECLIPSE Gray Support + Color Preservation Shampoo and Conditioner, which was included in our March/April Clean Beauty Box this year!

We noticed a movement to say goodbye to silver foils with House of Foils and Bungalow Babes bringing their patterned foils to the show floor.

We gave a nod to House of Foils' House of Boots pre-cut 5 x 11 inch foils in our March/April issue, but we also love their House of Vibes, which feature a blue and green gradient with peace signs, mirrorballs, smiley faces and magic eight balls for vintage charm.

Bungalow Babes doesn't officially launch until June 27, but they previewed their luxury hair foils at IBS, which include gorgeous summer patterns, such as Field of Dreams, Tide Pool and Palmetto.

In case you were in need of some merch (because who doesn't love merch??), The Blonde Chronicles and Have a Nice Hair Day showcased their apparel lines, which include tees, crewnecks, hoodies, zip-ups, hats, beanies and more! These fits are perfect to rock in the salon and showcase your pride as a hairstylist!

Education

When you were done shopping for products, it was time to get your learn on!

Between being on the show floor and having a whole dedicated classroom for education, Texture vs. Race offered plenty of opportunities for texture inclusive education. We stopped by Keya Neal and Brenda Amaral's color class! This powerhouse duo provided knowledge on the science behind the products you use in the chair everyday! Amaral's piece from True Hair Education on adding sweet and low to hair color formulations is still one of the top performing pieces on our site almost a year later!

On the Look and Learn Stage, Cherry Petenbrink and Bryce Adams provided a demo for working with Platinum Pastels using colors from Lisap Milano. Petenbrink also highlighted her work in "The Hunger Games," creating gorgeous pastel shades for Elizabeth Bank's Effie Trinket. The results were absolutely stunning, and we couldn't think of a better way to learn about a returning and defining trend than from one of the best colorists in the business!

For tips on efficiency behind the chair, Oligo Pro's J Ladner, Morgan Thomas and Andrea Alarcón had you covered! They also took to the Look and Learn stage to demo three looks, with an emphasis on efficient foil placement for exceptional results every time!

To make haircutting a breeze, we stopped by Presley Poe's Interactive Cutting class to learn their techniques for building or deconstructing volume, using a client's body as a guide throughout the cut and how to formulate a cut depending on a client's preferences for their hair. We also got to give Poe a copy of our May/June issue, which featured their artist spotlight
